Yes, I do like to swear. Dammit! But, I'm trying to cut down on using profanity, cause It's a bad habbit. But yeah, I've been known to say fuck a lot. Especially when I'm really mad. .

I think swearing makes people sound uneducated... They are just empty words.

I agree, that swearing is best done in moderation. When overused, swear words can often make people come off as uneducated or fake.

I think part of the reason why people sound stupid when swearing too much is that there are so few swear words. So when you're saying "Fuck" or some variation of it every other word, if anything it's a bit tedious. I kind of like using other expressions just because they sound more interesting and convey the same things without having to swear. No, swearing doesn't offend me, but sometimes there are just other words you can use. That being said, I do like some of the compound swear words I've seen of late, such as fucktard or fuckwit or twat-waffle or ass-hat. Hahahaha, that's great stuff!

I enjoyed the fucking article. And I do agree that swearing is best done around friends who already know you're smart. Always swearing in the wrong situations makes one sound uneducated.

i agree with the other posts. if your going to sware then you shouldn't sound like your uneducated. over swareing is a bad idea, and if you have this thing where you can't help but sware, then don't use the same word over and over again. i like to sware, but i don't do it unless i'm angry or upset, or it just slips out. however, i make it a rule to not sware around little kids, cause they don't kno that swareing is considered rude and bad language, and they don't kno the meaning of the words being used. i also respect that other people don't like swareing as well, like grandparents, parents etc, so i try hard not to do it around them either.

I only swear around my friends, and my mom, because that's just the way she is, and we have a very open relationship, so it's not weird to swear around her like I know it is for a lot of people and their parents. But I don't do it in public, and never around little kids, and I always do it in moderation. I agree with what everybody else has said here, that too much of it makes you look bad.

Exactly. I definitely wouldn't be able to swear with my parents, but I am ok with that. Interestingly, I walked by a girl on Saturday outside talking to someone with slurred. "Holy fuuuuuuuuuuck, that's her fucking parrrrrrrrrrrenting". And on and on. So dumb it sounded. Swearing in private with friends, though, is a lot of fun and I wouldn't give it up for the world.
